We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Officer responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role supports the finance department by maintaining accurate accounting information and assisting in financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation and management.
• Ensure timely invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare statutory returns and assist with tax filings where applicable.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially QuickBooks
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
