Expat Senior Accountant – SBP Africa

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant for a reputable organization based in Accra.
The ideal candidate must have strong accounting and financial management experience, with prior working experience in Ghana and a solid understanding of the local regulatory and tax environment.

Key Responsibilities
✅Manage and oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting.
✅Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
✅Handle budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
✅Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), SSNIT, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
✅Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and receivables.
✅Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
✅Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors.
✅Prepare management reports and provide strategic financial insights.
✅Ensure timely tax filings and compliance with local financial regulations.
✅Supervise and support junior accounting staff where necessary.
✅Improve financial systems, internal controls, and reporting processes.

Requirements
✅Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
✅Professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
✅Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
✅Prior work experience in Ghana is mandatory.
✅Strong understanding of Ghanaian tax laws and financial regulations.
✅Experience working in multinational or expatriate environments is an advantage.
✅Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
✅Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
✅Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Candidate Profile
Expatriate candidate currently residing in Ghana or willing to relocate
Indian nationals preferred due to business requirements, however other qualified expatriates are welcome to apply.
