Job Summary
• Under the direct supervision of the Blending Supervisor to operate and maintain the Blending Equipment efficiently to constantly meet production demands in quantity and quality as required.
Job Details
The Blending Operating Technician shall be responsible for:
•Responsible for executing routine and planned maintenance schedule on the Blending Equipment.
•Responsible for rectification and troubleshooting of all emerging problems on the Blending Equipment.
•Document all maintenance activities as required.
•Ensure all the required spare parts are in stock
•Seek approval from Blending Manager/Supervisor for blending to commence.
•Responsible for the operation of the In Line Mixer (ILM)
•Responsible for the process monitoring of sugar and acid syrup preparation and pasteurization into storage tank.
•Maintain and check calibration status of all blending equipment
•Ensure the recommended CIP steps are performed as per the agreed Matrix in all areas.
•Ensure the volume in the BDM (Batch dosing module) for different recipes are correct.
•Monitor ingredients during transfer process (into FS tanks) to ensure quality and quantity of components dispensed and ensure blending process effectiveness and quality of final product.
•Analyze all blends and syrups to ensure the parameters are within range before inviting QA.
•Follow up on the final document when the parameters are recorded by QA.
•Always check, record and label all returns from production before rework.
•Monitor the FA Tanks for product back up.
•Receive concentrate and alcohol from suppliers using the INDAG SYSTEMS.
•Supervise the Blending Assistants when performing their duties.
•Ensure availability of RO water at all times.
•Monitor the INDAG SYSTEMS for each blend volume and compare them with the actual.
•Record all the important meter readings as required and make SAP inputs for transfer to production.
•Provision of Technical assistance to production lines
•Any technical job assigned.

Qualification:
•HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering
•Minimum of Two (2 years) relevant experience in Food Processing or Bottling Company/ One year experience in syrup room operations and beverage processing.
•Strong background in instrumentation and controls and the ability to troubleshoot Siemens PLCs
•Good understanding of SCADA Systems.
•Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Power Point and any other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, preferably SAP.
